Steve Jobs once said – “That’s been one of my mantras – focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean and make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because, once you get there, you can move mountains.”
It is in our nature to complicate things. We get caught in the quagmire of information overload and lose sight of the core. The situation may be simple, but our thinking makes it complex.
However, if you want to capture the essence of something, you need to figure out a way to simplify more than complicate it. Whenever you simplify a subject or phenomenon, you get closer to its original nature, essence, or truth.

Any problem, however complex, can be solved only when you keep your thinking simple. Being able to simplify your thoughts can be challenging and certainly doesn’t happen by mistake. It involves a disciplined approach to “clean” your thinking and to grasp matters simply.
