Business landscapes are continuously changing and to keep up with the competitive times, it is important that a business prepares itself to shift as the situation demands. In order to achieve their long-term goals, it is important that entrepreneurs understand the areas they need to improvise or improve upon. And an honest opinion and advice can help them steer their business in the right direction.
This is where a management consultant firm comes into action and Un-3 Consulting is one such firm that has been providing business and marketing solutions to companies since 2014. Co-founded by Ankur Nagar, whose rich experience in the field of market research and the belief that, “people with an outside-in perspective and innovative thinking make a difference,” has helped many existing companies succeed and startup companies achieve their business objectives.
Un-3, which translates into un-shackling assumptions, un-locking opportunities and un-leashing action, provides strategic business and marketing consultancy services to firms for accelerating their business growth, finding new business opportunities, new concept generation, product development and much more.
In conversation with GlobalLinker (GL), co-founder of Un-3 Consulting shares how this business idea struck him and the journey so far.
GL: Un-3 Consulting is doing a great job of helping companies with business and marketing strategies to help them scale and grow. We would love to know what motivated and excited you to start it.
Ankur: I always wanted to step in to the world of entrepreneurship right from my graduation days. My dream came true after 12 years in the July of 2014 when we started Un-3consulting. We saw a ‘potential need gap’ when it came to consumer insights and market research and thought of bridging the gap in a way that it becomes mutually beneficial to our partners and us.
The entire idea of starting something of my own and taking risks, excited me. The corporate world is much safer when you are working for somebody.
GL: What has been the most effective way of raising awareness about your business?
Ankur: Word of mouth has been the key source of awareness. People who know you and your work are the best recommenders. We are also trying to build awareness through social media.
GL: What are some of the challenges you have faced so far? What are you doing to tackle them?
Ankur: The key challenge is to earn more clients and have like-minded people join the team. The clients pay us for our brains (knowledge and experience that we bring to the table), hence the right set of partners (clients as well as people who you work with) plays a major role.
In the long run, we want to work with limited clients so that we are able to give our personal touch and attention to them.

GL: You are a Linker. Which offerings of GlobalLinker have helped you? And why should other SMEs use it too?
Ankur: GlobalLinker as a platform provides a variety of knowledge and events update. In addition, there are various offers that one can choose from depending on their requirement. It can also help in generating business opportunities.
GL: What advice would you give to a new entrepreneur setting up their first business?
Ankur: Look before you leap and when you take that plunge, give it your best. Right time and differentiated offering works. Give it sometime to settle.
GL: What is the next big thing on your business agenda?
Ankur: I’m planning to build more awareness about our company and the services we provide. My ultimate goal is to emerge as ‘thought leaders’ in the market.
GL: We would love to know the person behind the entrepreneur
